I’m incredibly excited and honoured to have stepped into the role of Chief Executive at Havencare Homes and Support, an ambitious and values driven charity, dedicated to empowering people with learning disabilities and autism to live the lives they choose.

During my first week, I’ve had the pleasure of meeting some of the fantastic Havencare team. From the very start, I’ve been warmly welcomed, and it’s clear that Havencare is built on compassion, integrity, and a deep commitment to care.

As I approached the Plymouth Head Office and saw the Havencare logo, I felt a strong sense of pride and purpose. It’s a privilege to take the lead in guiding Havencare through the next chapter of its journey.

As we navigate the evolving landscape of Adult Social Care, I’m committed to fostering a culture of excellence, openness, and continuous learning. Together, we will continue to grow and adapt, always keeping the people we support at the heart of everything we do.

Friday brings a moment of reflection, it’s been a busy and insightful first week, full of learning and listening. I’m really looking forward to meeting more of the team in the weeks ahead and seeing first-hand the incredible impact of Havencare’s work.

Here’s to the journey ahead, new opportunities, brilliant teamwork, and a bright future for Havencare Homes and Support!
