Supported housing isn’t just about buildings and emails – it’s about people.

Ever wondered who makes sure our houses feel like homes and not just a place to live? Enter the Supported Housing team:  part problem-solvers, part cheerleaders, full-time champions of helping people find homes that are right for them.

Join Alice, Suzy, Sam and Sonya in our latest Havencare blog as they share what a day in the life looks like for the team:

Morning Motivation

Our day often starts with a strong cup of coffee and a quick catch up on emails before we get to the best bit, heading out into the community!

Helping Hands, Open Ears

We visit the people we support in their homes, listening, encouraging, and empowering them to live as independently as possible. Whether it’s helping someone manage their rent, navigate benefits, or connect with local services, every interaction is about building confidence, unlocking potential, and providing stability.

 Jill of All Trades

Whether it’s organising fixing leaky taps, planning house renovations or calming tense situations, we wear many hats as we go about our day, switching between mediator, advisor, handywoman and sometimes therapist! Whatever the task, our aim is always the same: to make sure everyone feels safe, respected, and supported in their home.

Making a Difference every day

“From fitting new kitchens and bathrooms to garden improvements and ensuring homes are safe and compliant, no two days are ever the same — and that’s exactly how we like it! We’re all about big ideas, bold moves, and nonstop momentum. There’s always something new happening, and trust us… we’re just getting started.”

— Supported Housing Team

Because supported housing isn’t just about buildings — it’s about people.
