Waking Nights Support Worker

We are looking for enthusiastic, resourceful and forward-thinking people and are excited to be recruiting Support Workers to support individuals within our service in Plymouth. 


Our Waking Night Support Workers are required to remain awake and work as part of a team, providing high quality person centred care and support throughout the night for the people for Miss W.  Your responsibilities will also include supporting with health needs, emotional support, timely and accurate recordkeeping and updating of support plans.  You will also be required to undertake some household tasks that can be difficult to complete during the day.  



About the Role:

Miss W likes to be busy and active, enjoying social opportunities and interacting with others.  She has an infectious personality and is a pleasure to be around. Your strong communication skills will enable you to make great connections and you will be an enabler by supporting Miss W. Miss W has a severe Learning Disability and other health conditions and may display behaviours of concern at times.   

You will work as part of a team that enables Miss W to direct her life by having opportunity, choice, and control and you will role model outstanding care and support to meet Miss W needs.  You will be passionate about promoting her independence, and maintaining and promoting life skills, as well as supporting Miss W with her health and well-being needs and requirements. 

About the usual working pattern: 

Week 1  

  • Monday – 10pm – 9:30am 
  • Friday – 10pm – 8am 
  • Saturday – 10pm – 8am 
  • Sunday – 10pm – 9:30am 


Week 2  

  • Wednesday – 10pm – 9:30am 
  • Thursday – 10pm – 9:30am
