Waking Night Support Worker

Salary: £11.30-£11.50 per hour (+£1.00 night rate enhancement for hours worked between 10pm-7am)

Hours: 9.5 hours per week

Havencare Homes and Support Limited is a forward-thinking charity that supports people with learning disabilities and autism, and we have an opportunity for an enthusiastic, resourceful, and forward-thinking person to join Havencare as one of our Waking Night Support Workers.

We are looking for someone who can engage with different personalities and bring energy, adaptability, and commitment to this support role.

You would be part of our waking night team based at St Clare in Penzance where we have a supported lifestyles project that supports 8 individuals who live in their own flats.

St Clare’s is a service that enables each person to receive 1:1 support at different times of the day and have access to our shared support hub 24/7.  The communal hub is a unique dimension to supported lifestyles where staff are on hand day and night as a point of contact for support when needed.

Our Waking Night Support Workers are required to remain awake and work as part of a team, providing high quality person centred care and support throughout the night for the people who live at St Clare.  Your responsibilities will also include supporting with health needs such as epilepsy, emotional support, timely and accurate recordkeeping and updating of support plans.  You will also be required to undertake some household tasks that can be difficult to complete during the day.

*This is a part time role (9.5 hours per week) working on the following shift pattern:

Week 1: Sunday 2200-0800
Week 2: Friday 2200-0700

Additional hours may be available.
