This residential home opened in 1997 with a new concept for residential care, each service user enjoying the provision of facilities in their own private lounge, bedroom and en-suite facilities, with shared common areas. This approach enables people to use their own private space and in addition they can use and share the communal areas as they wish.
The house is a detached property in a normal residential setting, close to lots of local amenities within Preston, Paignton. The garden is beautifully tended and service users are each able to enjoy being involved in creating this pleasant space.
For people who live at The Firs, access to the community is met by a combination of walks to local shops, use of public transport which has excellent local links, and individually tailored plans.
